ALONDRA PARK, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Residents of Alondra Park and El Camino Village are among those included in a Los Angeles County planning effort to assess infrastructure needs in unincorporated South Bay communities.
The county’s South Bay Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) process is examining transportation and mobility, sewer systems, and stormwater management infrastructure. The goal is to identify needs, rank potential improvements and explore ways to fund future work.
Why Alondra Park is included
Alondra Park/El Camino Village is an unincorporated community represented in the South Bay Planning Area. The county also identifies Del Aire, Hawthorne Island, La Rambla, Lennox, West Carson, Westfield/Academy Hills and Wiseburn as parts of the planning geography. Many neighborhood infrastructure questions therefore go through county agencies rather than an Alondra Park city government.
What has happened so far?
The county reports that its multi-area capital-planning kickoff was held on February 11, 2026, and offers a recording and presentation. It also lists a community survey, but marks that survey closed. Readers should not assume a survey submission is still possible merely because a link appears on the county webpage.
How residents can stay involved
People concerned about sidewalks, intersections, flooding, drainage or access to local services can review the county’s planning materials and follow future meeting notices. The preparation of a CIP is not the same as approval of a particular construction project or budget; proposed priorities will need later decisions and funding.
For planning questions, the county lists (213) 974-6411 and info@planning.lacounty.gov.
